Standard 1: Strategic Leadership
School executives will create conditions that result in strategically re-imaging the school’s vision, mission, and goals in the 21st century. Understanding that schools ideally prepare students for an unseen but not altogether unpredictable future, the leader creates a climate of inquiry that challenges the school community to continually re-purpose itself by building on its core values and beliefs about its preferred future and then developing a pathway to reach it.

Letter of Introduction
- This was the letter of introduction that I gave to the Stocks Staff upon their return to school in August.
- This spreadsheet is the collaboration between the staff as we worked to establish a new mission and vision for our school.
Evaluation of Teacher Survey Responses
- The SIT team decided to create a modified version of the Teacher Working Condition(TWC) survey that was focused on the school's biggest challenges and aligned to the School Improvement Plan (SIP). The results were shared with staff and used by administrators to address concerns prior to completion of the 2016 TWC survey. I have also included my reflection of the results.
- As a member of the School Improvement Team, I was actively involved in the creation, implementation and review of the School Improvement Plan.
- In preparation for Leadership Day the Student Lighthouse Team created Leadership Day role descriptions. Teachers then had voice and choice in which action team they wanted to facilitate. Students were then given voice and choice in which role they signed up to join.
- This DLP assignment promoted a review and evaluation of the school's vision and mission statement. Additionally, the assignment fostered a personal reflection of Strategic Leadership.
